Pacific Relines Achieves 3 Years LTI Free
Pacific Relines staff and crews achieved 3 years LTI free this April 2010. Pacific Relines prides itself on its strong safety culture and initiatives. Through 2009 into 2010 Pacific Relines has implemented new safety initiatives such as workplace health and safety representatives, new site safety procedures and processes, these initiatives along with crew safety attitude have all contributed to Pacific Relines LTI free status. Pacific Relines are committed to continuous improvement in their safety standards and processes demonstrating their aim for Zero Harm as a core value.
PACIFIC RELINES - “Stars of the Nickel Screen”
A PACIFIC RELINES crew were “Stars of the Nickel Screen” during their recent feed end reline at Savannah Nickel mine.
The PACIFIC RELINES crew was photographed as they executed a reline at the Savannah Nickel site. These photos formed part of a presentation that was then screened on all the AV screens around the mine as part of a client communication and education initiative.
The presentation was really well received as the permanent underground Savannah staff were able to have an insight into what happens inside the mill.
PACIFIC RELINES crews are leaders in the specialist mill relining services field. As well as servicing Savannah, PACIFIC RELINES crews have been busy undertaking major relines at in South Australia, Queensland, the Northern Territory, and also in Africa.
Pacific Relines awarded Mt Isa Reline Contract
Pacific Relines has once again proven that they are a world-class provider of mill reline services, offering first rate project execution with experienced, accredited and safe crews.
This week Pacific Relines were awarded the Xstrata Mt Isa Copper Concentrator Reline contract. The two year contract will see Pacific Relines conduct around 35 reline projects over five mills, with an average of 25 relining specialist crew required for each one. ,
Pacific Relines have a strong history of working with Xstrata having worked on site at their Mt Isa Mine since 2007 and also at Xstrata’s Ernest Henry Mine carrying out extensive reline projects on their SAG and BALL mills. Previous Pacific Relines crews at Xstrata have extended to over 40 mill maintenance specialists including accredited tradesman, supervisors, reline technicians and operators. Pacific Relines also delivers value for Xstrata by mobilised all crew to site with Pacific Relines company owned aircraft.
Demonstrating a world-class safety performance and culture was a key issue for Xstrata in awarding this contract. Through their incident free on-site safety record with Xstrata for their Mt Isa site since 2007 Pacific Relines were able to prove their strong safety culture, impact of their safety initiatives, and dedication to the goal of zero harm.
