PACIFIC RELINES are a safe Australian based enterprise which specialises in all facets of grinding mill maintenance to our clients including:

The company was established in 1996 and currently undertakes over 120 mill reline projects per year. We have completed projects at most major Australian mine sites and sites in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Malaysia, South Africa, West Africa and Indonesia.

Traditionally PACIFIC RELINES have provided mill reline services mainly in Queensland and some overseas operations. Since being acquired in April 2007 as part of the SKILLED Group, this recent marriage to ATIVO Maintenance and Project Services has enabled PACIFIC RELINES to further develop their service offering into other areas of mine shutdown maintenance and increase their geographical coverage to all areas of Australia and expand its International reline services.

MAINTENANCE ALLIANCE – ATIVO MAINTENANCE AND PROJECT SERVICES

ATIVO is a market leader in the provision of maintenance and project services. PACIFIC RELINES is able to partner with ATIVO to provide a unique end-to-end solution including shutdowns, infrastructure and whole life maintenance and project services including mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, operations and production. With this capability PACIFIC RELINES and ATIVO are able to provide a fully comprehensive maintenance and shutdown service to our heavy industry clients.

COMPETENCIES, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

PACIFIC RELINES maintains a stable core crew of reline specialists and leverages their heritage, experience & access to excellence people to develop & deliver superior mill reline & plant maintenance solutions to our clients.

Safety Officers are a part of every relining crew. All field personnel have received the following training as a minimum requirement:

• QMITAB-Generic Mine Induction;
• First Aid Certificate;
• Confined Space Awareness.

The company operates a training programme to ensure that all personnel are kept up to date with these requirements. In addition to the above there is a wide range of competencies held by company personnel including:

• Project Manager and Supervisory Personnel;
• Mechanical Fitters;
• Boilermakers;
• Electricians;
• Dogmen;
• Forklift Operators;
• Crane Operators;
• Linerhandler Operators;
• Aircraft Pilots.

Reline crews are made up of a mix of the required competencies. The majority of personnel have been with the company for in excess of 4 years and some since the commencement of operations in 1996. Several personnel employed by the company have in excess of 10 years experience in mill reline work.

PACIFIC RELINES has extensive experience in the operation of all types of reline equipment manufactured by Russell Mineral Equipment and McLennan.

Planning and Reporting

The key to successful plant maintenance shutdowns is planning. As the mill reline work is often the critical path task on a shutdown we develop a detailed plan for each project to maximise the effectiveness of available resources and minimise project time. This plan is presented to the principal for examination and comment in the lead up to the project. A detailed report is presented to the principal upon the completion of each project. Progress outcomes, safety issues and recommendations for future projects are covered in this report.

MANUFACTURING OF SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT

PACIFIC RELINES partner with Maxitool to develop and install reliners and other mill maintenance tooling. Most recently we developed and built a number of small liner handlers as retrofit machines in existing plants. These have been developed in response to legislative requirements on lifting and the tendency toward larger and heavier liner components.
